Terms and Conditions
Terms and Conditions for Farnborough Pest Control Services, October 2026.
1. Introduction and Acceptance
These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern the provision of pest control services by Gareth Huddy trading as Farnborough Pest Control (“Company,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) to the customer (“you” or “Customer”). By booking, accepting a quote, or allowing our technicians to perform services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use our services.
2. Services
We provide professional pest inspection, treatment, monitoring, and related services for residential and commercial properties as described in the service agreement, quote, or work order. Services may include (but are not limited to) treatment for insects, rodents, and other pests using approved methods and products.
Farnborough Pest Control is registered with the British Pest Control Association (BPCA) and operates in accordance with BPCA best practice guidelines and relevant UK legislation.
Some treatments (particularly for insects and rodents) may require multiple visits to achieve effective control. Each visit is treated and charged as a separate service.
We will perform services with reasonable care and skill. Results can vary depending on property conditions, infestation severity, customer cooperation, and external factors. No guarantee is given against the reoccurrence of pest issues.
3. Customer Obligations
You agree to:
• Provide safe, reasonable access to the property (including all relevant areas) at the scheduled time.
• Prepare the property as instructed (e.g., clear clutter, remove or secure food, cover or move items, secure pets, and follow any pre-treatment guidelines).
• Inform us of any known hazards, allergies, medical conditions, presence of children/pets, or sensitive areas before treatment.
• Follow all post-treatment instructions, including re-entry times, ventilation, cleaning restrictions, and ongoing prevention measures.
• Ensure the property remains suitable for treatment and that no unauthorized persons interfere with bait stations, traps, or treated areas.
Failure to comply may reduce effectiveness, create safety risks, or void any service guarantees. Additional charges may apply for wasted visits or incomplete preparation.
4. Quotes, Pricing, and Payment
A minimum call-out fee of £60 applies to all visits (including site surveys and initial assessments).
All treatment is priced and charged per visit. Quotes are estimates based on the information available at the time and may change if conditions differ on arrival. Final pricing is confirmed on site for each visit.
Payment is taken in full by card on the initial visit or site survey (and on each subsequent visit unless otherwise agreed in writing). Late or failed payments may incur additional charges or collection costs. Recurring service plans are billed according to the agreed schedule.
We are not VAT registered. All prices quoted are therefore exclusive of VAT and no VAT is charged. Additional fees may apply for emergency call-outs, after-hours work, extensive infestations, or travel beyond our standard service area.
5. Scheduling, Cancellation, and Rescheduling
Appointments are subject to availability. We will make reasonable efforts to attend at the agreed time but are not liable for delays caused by weather, traffic, emergencies, or factors beyond our control.
Cancellations or rescheduling by you require at least 48 hours’ notice. Late cancellations or no-shows may incur a fee (which may include the £60 call-out fee). We reserve the right to cancel or reschedule for safety, operational, or other legitimate reasons and will provide reasonable notice when possible.
6. Safety, Chemicals, and Re-Entry
We use products registered/approved for their intended use and apply them according to label directions, BPCA best practice, and regulations. You acknowledge that pest control products may involve chemicals or other substances.
Follow all verbal and written safety instructions, including re-entry times, ventilation, and restrictions on contact with treated surfaces. Keep children, pets, and vulnerable individuals away as directed. We are not responsible for adverse reactions if instructions are not followed or if pre-existing sensitivities are not disclosed.
7. Warranties, Guarantees, and Limitations
No guarantee is given for the reoccurrence of pest issues. Any service guarantee (e.g., free re-treatment within a stated period) will only apply if expressly specified in writing on the service agreement or invoice and is subject to these Terms and your full compliance with preparation and post-treatment instructions.
Except as expressly stated in writing, all services are provided “as is.” To the maximum extent permitted by law, we exclude all implied warranties. Our total liability for any claim arising from the services is limited to the amount you paid for the specific service giving rise to the claim. We are not liable for indirect, consequential, incidental, or special damages (including loss of profits, business interruption, or property damage beyond the treated area) except where caused by our gross negligence or willful misconduct. Nothing in these Terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or other liabilities that cannot be excluded by law.
8. Property and Insurance
You are responsible for the condition of your property. While we take reasonable care, minor disturbance (e.g., moving items, residual product marks, or access-related wear) may occur. Notify us promptly of any alleged damage caused by our technicians.
We carry appropriate public liability insurance. You should maintain your own property and contents insurance.
9. Privacy
We collect and process personal information (contact details, property information, service history) as needed to provide services, process payments, and comply with legal obligations under UK data protection law (including UK GDPR). See our Privacy Policy (available on request or on our website) for details on how we handle data, your rights, and contact information for privacy inquiries.
10. Intellectual Property
All materials, reports, treatment plans, and documentation provided by us remain our property. You may use them only for the intended purpose related to the services.
11. Termination
Either party may terminate ongoing service agreements with reasonable written notice (or as specified in the agreement). We may suspend or terminate services immediately for non-payment, safety concerns, abusive behaviour, or material breach of these Terms. Outstanding amounts remain due.
12. Governing Law and Disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will first be attempted to be resolved amicably. If unresolved, they shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales, unless mandatory consumer protections provide otherwise.
13. General
These Terms, together with any written service agreement, quote, or work order, constitute the entire agreement between us regarding the services. If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in full force. We may update these Terms; the version in effect at the time of service applies. No waiver of any term is effective unless in writing.
